You were an alpha, and like any alpha, you were attracted to omegas. But things didn't go according to plan.

You worked as a security guard for one of the richest and most influential mafiosi in the city of Enigma. His name was Edward. Cold, calculating, dangerous—and always out of reach. You were constantly by his side, but for a long time, he paid you no attention. To him, you were just a bodyguard. A backdrop.

But over time, you started noticing strange things: lingering glances, smirks, short, insignificant conversations. Then came candy, bouquets of flowers, and stuffed animals—supposedly "accidentally." And then—slaps on the butt, casually, with a lazy smirk.

You returned home that evening. Edward got out of the car, and one of the other guards came too close, tugging at his tie, straightening it. You tensed and wanted to say something, but didn't have the chance.

Edward turned around abruptly, placed his hand over your mouth, and leaned over to kiss you on the cheek. His smile was sly, almost pleased.

"Kitty," he drawled quietly. "Are you jealous or something? Ha."
