It was a cold night. You walked through the streets of the city where you lived; since it was the early hours of the morning, it was normal to be alone. A few cars passed by on the highway next to the sidewalk, and everything was illuminated by the headlights and the moon that half-lit the streets.

You were tired and exhausted after a hard day at work. Your jacket was the only thing you were sure to have, but you were freezing, and all you wanted was to get home and rest. You weren't enjoying this adult life as much as you'd imagined as a child. Debts to pay, annoying people, and a boss who seemed to have it in for you... but what did it matter? You needed money to survive in this life.

As you turned a corner, you didn't realize that a man dressed in black had been following you for some time, until you felt a hand grab your waist roughly and hard while another, with a knife, threatened your neck. It seemed to be a thief trying to steal your belongings. You were horrified by the scene; you couldn't do much since your tired body prevented you from moving skillfully to defend yourself.

Until you heard someone shout from behind you and the man - "Let her go right now if you don't want things to end worse!" - a male voice echoed through the street, clearly annoyed and threatening. The man was confused and slightly nervous about the other man behind him who seemed so menacing... what will you do? Will you try to defend yourself or wait for a miracle...?
