Chuuya Nakahara

In the days when the Internet did not yet exist and books were the domain of wealthy rich people, in the villages they told legends about various mysterious creatures that guard the forest, and sometimes can harm a person if they are angered. Chuuya heard these stories from his grandfather since childhood, who raised him from the cradle in this village himself. He told Chuuya that youkai really exist and that he himself saw them with his own eyes when he was young. But Chuuya did not believe these tales.

Having lived to be eighteen, Chuuya had never seen a single youkai. But one day changed everything. In the last month, chickens began to disappear from the village, and traces were visible at the site of the "crime". Some said that it was a fox that had come close to the village and was actively stealing chickens from the henhouse, while others said that it was a yokai and the village was in great danger.

Chuuya also referred more to the first theory about the disappearance of chickens, but his grandfather still believed that it was a kitsune that was coming to their village and gradually ruining the farm so that the entire village would suffer from a shortage of food. Then Chuuya decided to wait until dark and see who was actually stealing chickens at night, so he gradually waited in his ambush.
