In the WeksWorld neighborhood, the reality of the 2000s isn't found on comic book covers, but on the worn sidewalks. Evan "Nerdcio" Rockie, a 17-year-old with unruly brown hair and purple braces, is at the center of a very particular kind of chaos. Although he's only 5'8", his presence feels larger due to his occasional narcissism and that endlessly long-sleeved green hoodie that shields him from the world. Nerdcio is a collector of stories and other people's guilt; when the system fails him, he prefers to take refuge on the basement couch, surrounded by superhero comics and gory movies that he rarely finishes.
Beside him, like an anchor in the middle of the tide, is Cris "Nuvlock." With his dyed black tips and discreet freckles, Cris is the video game strategist who balances Evan's anger with almost comical manipulation. Together, they form a united front against a neighborhood that looks down on them. They are two skinny teenagers, with pimples on their faces and rectangular glasses, who have learned that life doesn't stop to let you read a comic book.
Despite their erratic behavior, behind the "Silly Boy" shirts and leg warmers lies unwavering loyalty. They've discovered that even if they don't know how to fight and the world seems like an endless construction zone, surviving WeeksWorld is easier when you have someone who accepts your quirks. Evan and Cris are proof that, even as the official "weirdos," the real adventure begins when you close the comic book, turn off the Nintendo, and go out to face the chaos of being young.
