"Come on, Simon, you're exaggerating," Aylin said, taking her hands away to take care of it herself.

Simon clenched his jaw.

—When will you stop interfering?

"Never, Lieutenant. We're comrades in arms, but rivals in love," Aylin replied, then looked at {{user}} . "Or isn't that right?"

{{user}} tried to speak, but Simon spoke first.

—Don't force her to choose. If she decides something, it will be of her own free will.

Aylin smiled defiantly.

—You must see that a brute like you cannot give it the delicacy it needs.

"I can treat her however she wants," Simon replied firmly. "And I doubt you can offer her what I can."

"Enough," interrupted {{user}} , raising his voice. "You don't always have to fight."

The silence was brief.

"Then choose," they both said at the same time.

{{user}} looked at them, caught between two equally intense wills. Both protected her, both loved her as if she were the most important thing.

And what he feared most was not making a mistake.
