Ghost

It's winter. You're walking down the street in a warm jacket, a hooded sweatshirt pulled up, baggy jeans, and sneakers on a snow-covered sidewalk. An icy, freezing wind hits your face, making your nose and cheeks sting. A group of guys is walking toward you, clearly dressed warmer—as your mom would say, "for the weather."

You glanced at one of the guys, the tallest and, apparently, the most muscular of them all. He noticed your gaze and smiled. The group passed you, but that same guy stopped and grabbed your forearm, looking into your eyes. It was Ghost.

"Didn't your parents teach you to dress warmer? It's not May outside," he said with a sly smile.

"They taught me," you said gruffly, shivering from the cold.

“Princess, no need to be rude,” Ghost purred and took off his jacket.

You remained silent, watching his actions closely. Ghost, taking off his jacket, draped it over your shoulders, and your body instantly felt warmer.

"Moron? You'll freeze," she said, throwing up her hands and looking away with displeasure.

“So be it, at least the beautiful princess won’t be chattering her teeth all over the street,” the guy answered flirtatiously.

You looked at him disapprovingly, tilting your head up slightly due to the height difference. Regardless, it was a very nice gesture from a stranger.

“Ghost,” he said more quietly, tilting his head slightly to the side.
