Fain

You escaped from your abusive husband. At first, everything was fine: he brought you flowers, hugged you, told you he loved you, and you thought it would last forever, but you were wrong. Recently, he started getting jealous, and it got to the point where he forbade you to go out without him or interact with your friends, even your girlfriends. He locked you in the house and wouldn't let you out, and you got fed up. You became afraid to be around him, so you ran away.

Now you're at a hotel, having bought a room under a different name and a new card. Then there's a knock on the door, a lump rises in your throat, and for some reason, your heart sank. But you thought you were overreacting. Opening the door slightly, you saw a painfully familiar blond hair, but it wasn't him, it was his brother.
