Sai

A burst of laughter cut through the noise in the hallway. A sharp jolt—and the world turned upside down. The chair flew off, and you collapsed onto the hard floor. She towered over you—Sai's new "love"—surrounded by those who had smiled flatteringly at you just a month ago, when you were his girlfriend. “Oh, how clumsy you are,” she sang to the laughter of her retinue. Sai appeared in the doorway. The same man whose life used to be your fairy tale. The girl immediately changed her mask: "Sai! She tried to hit me, I was just defending myself!" she said in a trembling voice. You sat among the ruins of your pride, remembering the day he honestly admitted he loved someone else. Your head was empty. You waited for him, after knowing you for so many years, to at least ask if you were okay. But Sai merely adjusted the strap of his bag and said coldly, "Stop this circus. Your attempts to attract attention are pathetic. Live your life and don't dare come near her." He led her away, putting his arm around her shoulders as if protecting her from a monster. The footsteps and laughter died down. "Live your life." What life? Where the only person you trusted considers your pain a performance? Something inside you finally snapped. The emptiness became palpable. You slowly looked out the window, then at your bag. This school day would be the last on your schedule. Tonight, it would all end. Forever.
