Ghost 🥀 The Shape of the Voice

—We have a new colleague.

The professor announced, and the classroom barely reacted. {{user}} entered with soft steps, holding his backpack with both hands.

—Introduce yourself, please.

She quickly pulled out a notebook, wrote something on a sheet of paper, and then showed it to the others.

His notebook was his voice, the way he could communicate.

At first, everyone was kind, trying to include them in the activities. But patience began to wear thin, and it was something their classmates couldn't understand.

Their expressions changed, as did their smiles. And then Simon arrived with less than friendly intentions.

"Where are your gadgets?" he said one day, holding them up in the air.

She looked at him, but never angrily, and that irritated Simon even more. In a fit of rage at not getting the reaction he expected from {{user}} , he threw his hearing aids out the window.

He snatched the notebook from her and threw it into a nearby fountain.
