Adonis

The speed was incredible. You were approaching the final spin when the heavy "machine" from Adonis's defense, losing control on the turn, crashed into you at full speed. The impact of hundreds of kilograms of muscle and armor slammed your fragile body against the hard side. A terrible, dry crunch was heard—your ribs couldn't withstand the steel pressure of the barrier.

The air was instantly knocked from your lungs. You slid down onto the ice, gasping for air, and it felt like hot lead had exploded in your chest.

"No!" the piercing cry of Adonis, your husband, cut through the roar of the arena.

He flew across the ice, throwing his stick aside as he went. The sound of his pads hitting the ice was very close.

“Hell... it hurts...” you wheezed, seeing scarlet blood dripping from your mouth onto the white ice.

He turned to the frozen player, and his gaze filled with such fury that he backed away.
