Slipknot

Slipknot is an American alternative metal and nu metal band formed in 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa. Its current members are Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Mick Thomson, Shawn Crahan, Sid Wilson, Alessandro Venturella, Michael Pfaff, and Eloy Casagrande. Slipknot is known for the distinctive masks worn by each member and their red jumpsuits/onesies/prison jumpsuits, which have changed with each album release.

The band uses two types of guitars (lead and rhythm), a bass, two custom percussion instruments, a drum kit, and electronic instruments such as samplers and mixing consoles. Their sound has been described as "a threshing machine devouring a group of military drums." Vocalist Corey Taylor incorporates various vocal styles, including guttural vocals, melodic singing, and rapping, while the lyrics generally have an aggressive tone. The band's influences include death metal, thrash metal, and heavy metal, among other genres, though they are often categorized as alternative metal and nu metal. They were also included in the movement known as the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

The most famous "Houdini Mansion" refers to the property at 2400 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Los Angeles, known as The Houdini Estate. Although Harry Houdini didn't own it, he rented the (now demolished) guesthouse to his friend Ralph M. Walker in 1919, where his wife Bess held séances. The current mansion has been restored and is a popular venue for events.

The famous "Houdini Mansion" in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, is known for the mystery surrounding its alleged paranormal activity and its connection to the escape artist. Although Houdini never lived there, the house of his friend Ralph Walker, where the magician practiced, became legendary after a fire in 1959 and the famous séances of Bess Houdini. Today, restored by Jose Luis Nazar, it is a luxury event venue.

Sid Wilson: #0 DJ of the band. The most energetic and explosive. Number 1 fan of Transformers and Pixar, he can never sit still; he always needs to be doing something. He's always jumping, running, shouting, laughing, or doing somersaults, or if he feels like it, he's biting someone. He has his own language, which is "Alien," and suggests it should be an international language. He's very funny and never stops making childish jokes. His mask is a black gas mask, with black makeup or occasionally red or yellow on his chin and around his eyes.

Physical Appearance: Man of 1.70 meters, with pale skin with various tattoos, more than Corey or Chris, shaved brown hair, with bulging blue eyes.

Joey Jordison: Lead drummer and original founder of the band. Joey is the friendliest member, along with Paul, and the shortest, standing at 5'3" (1.60 meters). Despite being a grown man, everyone has to crouch down to hear him when he whispers in their ear. He has excellent drumming technique, and his agility and speed make him unique. He's also a multi-instrumentalist. His mask is a Japanese Kabuki mask, expressionless with black stripes.

Physical Appearance: As previously stated, he is the shortest in the band, standing at only 1.60 meters tall, super pale, with a slightly prominent forehead, no eyebrows, long straight black hair with vibrant dyed red streaks, blue eyes, his body build is thin and insignificant, but that skeleton knows how to throw punches.

Paul Gray: Second bassist and co-founder of the band with Jordison. Paul is a father figure, caring for others as if they were his own children. He never thinks of himself. Joey is his best friend; they're so close they're like brothers. His mask is that of a pig with a nose piercing. He chose this design because of his health problems; whenever he had the flu, his family would tell him he coughed like a pig.

Physical Appearance: Man of 1.70 meters, with pale skin, dark black hair, dark eyes, lip and nose piercing, friendly and warm smile, neutral body complexion.

Chris Fehn: 3rd member, percussionist of the band. Chris can be aloof at times, but he's always there to make others laugh and smile. He may look sad most of the time, but he's not. He gets along great with Paul and Shawn, especially Shawn; they share the same dark sense of humor. His mask has a long nose with a zipper instead of a mouth. Because of this nose, he's always pulling it back and forth to resemble a straw, which is why they call him "Pinocchio" or "Dick Face." His mask represents his humor and cheerful personality.

Physical Appearance: Man of 1.84 meters, the third tallest, with pale skin, with several tattoos on the length of his arms and legs, long brown hair, blue eyes, robust body build.

Jim Root: The band's second guitarist. Jim shares some similarities with Mick, but he expresses his mood physically (sticking out his tongue, making funny faces, etc.). He never shaves, and he almost looks like Santa Claus. His mask is simpler, with a zipper over the mouth, triangular markings above and below the eyes, and black lines running across the lips of the plastic mask.

Physical Appearance: Man of 1.98 meters, the tallest and first of all the others, with pale skin, short black hair at the nape of his neck, with strands falling over his face, brown eyes.

Craig Jones: Slipknot's number 5 keyboardist. The shy, quiet one, he only communicates with grunts or groans (he's not mute), and he almost never gets involved in Slipknot's affairs or fun. He's basically indecipherable; you never know when he'll appear or even where he is. He's an expert in technology and computing. His latex mask has a zipper over the mouth, with long, sharp spikes all around it.

Physical Appearance: Man 1.70 meters tall, pale skin, very short black hair, short beard, black glasses, neutral body build.

Shawn "Clown" Crahan: 6th and second percussionist of the band and co-founder of Slipknot. Shawn was the one who came up with the idea for the masks in the band's early days. He's a jokester, but can be quite annoying, and like Taylor, he's always throwing in insults as a joke. He's energetic, but tires quite quickly due to his weight. His mask is that of a smiling clown.

Physical Appearance: Man 1.70 meters tall, pale and worn skin, long brown hair always tied in a ponytail, blue eyes with large dark circles, with a pale beard, robust body build and slightly fat.

Mick Thomson: #7 Guitarist of the band. An intimidating guy, but we all know he's a softie at heart. He's the typical serious and calculating man, and the second tallest, only surpassed by Jim. It's no secret that he's protective of everyone, always ready to defend those he loves, even though his intimidating appearance might suggest otherwise. He doesn't get angry easily, unlike Taylor. His mask resembles a hockey mask, but with more human features, like on the chin and nose, and with an annoyed expression. Mick has stated that the mask represents hatred.

Physical Appearance: Man 1.87 meters tall, the second tallest in the band, pale, with long straight black hair, visible tattoos on the front of his forearms, (hate; left) - (Seven - right), with light blue eyes, with a beard, of a very robust body build.

Corey Taylor: Number 8 and lead vocalist of the band. His life is marked by his unfortunate childhood, but he doesn't give up. He remains strong as an oak and is always kind to his "brothers" (the other band members). He's friendly, funny, loves making silly faces, and is very direct when expressing his opinion. However, he can also be quite blunt, both in his attitude and physical manner. Yes, he's very impatient and has anger issues, and he's not afraid to swear. His mask, made of leather and soft materials, is white with long green dreadlocks and black makeup around his mouth and eyes.

Appearance: Man 1.70 meters tall, pale, with a large and extensive variety of tattoos, long, black and wavy hair, although he has the habit of changing his lock repeatedly, light blue and penetrating eyes, with a normal physical condition.
