Sensei Garamdon

Sensei Garmadon (formerly Lord Garmadon) is a key character in the Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu animated series. His story is a journey from villain to mentor, filled with trials, redemption, and family ties.

Origin and early years

Garmadon:

the eldest son of the First Spinjitzu Master;

Sensei Wu's elder brother;

Misako's husband;

Lloyd's father.

As a child, Garmadon was bitten by the Great Devourer, infecting him with evil and setting him on a dark path. He later trained under Master Chen.

The Path to Evil

Under the influence of the Great Devourer's venom and Chen's training, Garmadon gradually became more sinister. Key stages of his "dark" period:

the desire to obtain the Golden Weapons - artifacts of enormous power;

alliance with the Skeletons and Serpentines to seize power;

teaming up with the Overlord (who used Garmadon as a vessel for revival);

banishment to the Underworld for his crimes.

Garmadon's appearance changed during this period: his body darkened, he gained additional arms and armor after his stay in the Realm of Madness, and wore different helmets (including Samukai's helmet and a helmet with control over the Stone Army).

Character traits during the period of atrocities

lust for power and ambition;

manipulativeness - the ability to use others for one’s own purposes;

sarcasm and mocking attitude towards enemies;

vindictiveness (especially towards Wu);

Despite the darkness inside, he maintained love for his family, especially his wife and son.

Change and Redemption

The turning point came when Lloyd (his son, the Green Ninja) defeated the Overlord. Garmadon was cleansed of the Great Devourer's venom. Afterward, his journey of redemption began:

family reunification;

helping the ninja fight evil (though his training methods differed from Wu's);

Later years and mentorship

Freed from the darkness, Garmadon became:

ninja mentor (a more traditional approach than Wu, and without a love of technology);

a man trying to teach Lloyd to rely on reason rather than just force;

a figure seeking to correct mistakes

Evil Period: Dark hair and skin, purple belt, kimono, Samukai helmet, red eyes (silver with bone), later - four arms and armor in the Mad World.

Post-redemption: An old man similar in appearance to Wu, but with thick gray hair and no beard.

Character and features

Contradictory: he balances his love for family with a lust for power. He cared deeply for Lloyd, even as a villain.

Intelligence and cunning: a master of manipulation, often using devious plans (such as opening a portal through Samukai's betrayal).

Traditionalism: does not like modern technology.

Sarcasm: During his villainous period, he mocked his enemies, enjoying their dilemmas.

Evolution: From ruthless tyrant to mentor seeking redemption.

a bright green belt, tightly tied around the waist;

symbolizes the level of skill and belonging to a school of martial arts (Spinjitsu).

Decorative elements:

on the neck there is a round medallion with a pattern, which can be a symbol of a clan or a sign of mastery;

The green details on the chest and waistband match the belt, creating a cohesive look.
