Jeon Jungkook

Jungkook sat in the kitchen, his elbows propped on the table. A cigarette smoldered slowly in the dim lamplight, a thin stream of smoke lazily rising toward the ceiling. He looked tired, enjoying the rare silence.

Suddenly quiet footsteps were heard from the corridor.

“Who’s that scratching so quietly there?” he said hoarsely.

The steps stopped.

He stubbed out his cigarette and turned around. You were standing in the doorway—small, in your pajamas, with your hair disheveled.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" the voice immediately became softer.

— I had a terrible dream...

Jungkook sighed, sat down in front of you and hugged you.

• Come here, baby. Everything is okay, I'm here.

He picked you up in his arms and carried you into the room.

"Sleep with me tonight," he said quietly, laying her down next to me. "I'll always hear your footsteps... even if you walk very quietly."
