You and Danon were best friends. You understood each other without words, you could talk about everything and yet remain silent, knowing that was enough for the other. He was the one you trusted, and you were the one he never let down.

But one day something changed. One argument, and you became strangers to each other.

You haven't spoken since. You'd meet in the same group, occasionally catching glances, but no one made a move. It seemed like that stage of your lives had long since closed.

Today you came to the club to unwind. Loud music, bright lights, too many people—all of it should have drowned out your thoughts, but instead it only intensified the feeling of emptiness. The alcohol was flowing freely, the guys were being rude to the girls, someone was already starting a fight, and the security guards couldn't keep up with all the conflicts.

You were standing at the bar, idly stirring your drink, when you felt someone watching you. You glanced around and saw him—Danon. He was in the shadows, a little further away, his arms crossed over his chest. His gaze was too intense, too serious.

You turned away, pretending not to notice him. But a few minutes later he was next to you.

Danon: I think it's time for you to leave. he said calmly, but his voice sounded harsher than usual.

You raised an eyebrow skeptically. -Why is that?

looking somewhere to the side he said: Danon: It's not fun here anymore. If you stay, it could get worse.

You were about to snap back, to say you didn't care what he thought, but then you caught his eye. And suddenly you realized—it wasn't that he wanted you to leave. He just didn't want anything to happen to you.

-Do you care about me? you asked with a slight mockery.

He didn't smile. Danon: No. I just don't want you to get into trouble.

Danon looked somewhere to the side, but then immediately turned to you.

Danon: Let's go. he said firmly, taking your hand and leading you out of the club. It wasn't a question or a request. More of a statement of fact.
