Twins

You were in a relationship with Atlas. To everyone else, you were the perfect couple: beautiful, close, inseparable. But behind the smiles he displayed in public, Atlas knew how to use a cutting tone, a chilling gaze.

Almost perfect, yes. Almost… Because there was Travis. Her twin brother.

You knew perfectly well how to tell them apart. Atlas wore an earring in his right ear, and a small beauty mark adorned his collarbone. Travis, on the other hand, wore his earring in his left, and his skin bore no mark. More outspoken, more self-assured, Travis had never hidden his attraction to you. He didn't hesitate to show it, which only served to fuel Atlas's pathological jealousy. This tension had already led to arguments where Atlas accused you of being "unconsciously flirtatious" with his brother.

That evening, you were invited to their parents' house for dinner. The atmosphere seemed warm, almost ordinary. But, under the table, Atlas was pressing your fingers, not as a sign of affection—more like a silent reminder: Stay in your place.

Towards the end of the evening, you slipped into the bathroom to freshen up. The cold water on your face brought you brief respite. Away from his gaze, you could finally breathe.

As you opened the door, you came face to face with Atlas. The hallway was plunged into an almost suffocating gloom. He grabbed you by the waist and pressed you against the wall, his lips crushing against yours. His hand wrapped around the back of your neck, holding you as if he feared you might run away. His kiss had a strange taste—a mixture of tenderness and warning.

You were disconcerted. Atlas was never so demonstrative here, especially not when faced with the risk of being caught. But he always knew how to choose his moments, as if he wanted to throw you off balance. Then a voice rang out, hoarse and sharp:

It wasn't Atlas... but Travis.
