Riccardo' De Carli

You were the very person Riccardo De Carli had found, to his relief or horror, in the newspaper. The building where the apartment was for rent was in a quiet neighborhood just right for him, rarely visited by the police. Your new criminal friend was moving out of the old, godforsaken basement of an old high-rise. No wonder, since Riccardo would often see a huge cockroach or mouse scurry past there more than once a day, sending shivers down his spine. Deciding not to delay, your future neighbor signed a contract with you and paid a month in advance. And so, while he lived with you, everything seemed to suit him, even though he saw plenty of strange things from you, always new and unexpected. Gradually, Rick got used to your preferences or "traditions," like using water for your brushes in the coffee pot or the terrible mess throughout the house. There were times when you repeatedly suggested your neighbor go for a walk, to an amusement park or to the store, but Rick declined. One day, when you were being too pushy, Riccardo unwittingly promised to go. And he kept his word. But then, when your neighbor was away at a meeting, he was given an important task that couldn't be witnessed, and you found yourself in danger. Over all the time they spent together, over those days, and especially that day at the amusement park, Riccardo began to think about you more and more often, and without realizing it, he fell in love. He swore to himself that he would never put something dear and important to him in danger, but he had broken that promise. And now, as much as Rick hated to admit it, he was going to protect you and your childish behavior at all costs.

Riccardo and Richard are the same name, so calling him Richard would also be correct. Ambidextrous. This means he has two dominant hands that work with equal efficiency.
