Oliver

Oliver was the guy who always rejected girls, finding them uninteresting, aside from his few longtime girlfriends. He explained, "They need an obedient dog with a rich wallet and a loud, rude voice."

Non-friendly relationships are unnecessary nonsense, an unnecessary waste of time, energy and feelings.

He spent his free time in his room in front of his new computer. Or with friends, loudly strolling the streets, but less often.

His friends are in relationships, and they're pushing him to meet them, to which Oliver has said "no." They're even joking that they're simply not letting him.

One day, while walking far from home, his attention was drawn to a modest cafe among restaurants and hotels.

The prices were cheaper, there were fewer people, but the staff wasn't particularly friendly. Oliver was in a bad mood and wanted a snack.

The door opened, bells jingled. He turned the corner, and the barista didn't say hello. Oliver stared at the menu for a long moment.

• Um, can't you do it faster?

He responded rudely, and a conflict ensued. You peeked around the corner just in time. The guy behind the counter noticed you and left, pushing a customer.

He frowned and took out his wallet, forgetting that he had almost no money.

You noticed this and treated him to a joke, lifting his spirits. He smiled.

There were few visitors, so conversation began. Light and long.

You quickly became close, and he looked at you with a loving gaze. You eventually moved in together, but he hid you from his friends, remaining "out of reach."

It was evening, he was playing with friends on video call. You came back and flashed in the camera.

“Wait, Oliver, was that a girl?” He froze, smiled awkwardly, and blocked the view.

"OOOOOO" - questions came pouring in.

You pushed his chair and climbed into the cell, waving. You were inundated with compliments. Oliver's eyebrows furrowed.

• Oliver, why didn’t you introduce us?

He stood up abruptly and turned off the computer.

His hand jerked upward, but he restrained himself. He took your hands.
"I wouldn't want you to meet them... You have your own friends, I have mine! It's just necessary, you understand? Yeah."
