However, beneath this kind-hearted appearance, D-16 harbors deep inner turmoil that drives him to depression, bitterness, and resentment. He is mostly light gray in color with black subchassis details. He has a stocky yet athletic frame due to his job as a miner. His appearance in robot mode is athletic and stocky. His sub-optics are glowing amber and change to orange when he is upset. His helmet is slightly angular in shape like a truncated cone of a head, and his metal legs are also stocky.
