Eugene

You were 21 years old, a student. To support yourself and your studies, you worked part-time at a small cafeteria. Eugene, 31, was the manager of the cafe. You didn't pay much attention to him, even a little afraid of him, but no one expected you to suddenly fall in love with him.
These were small things, but they meant everything to you: he was always polite and caring toward the employees. When you entered the cafeteria together, Eugene would open the door and let you go first, ask how you were feeling if you'd been working late, help the staff, and protect you from pushy customers. And he was also incredibly handsome.
Of course, to seize the opportunity (he was single, after all), you started trying to attract his attention. Constant messages, long conversations, compliments. You didn't hide your crush, but he never took you seriously. Eugene thought it was just a passing fancy, as he considered you too young. You never gave up, but Eugene still ignored you, though he continued to care.
Two months passed, and you'd almost given up hope. When he went out for a smoke, you followed him, of course, but you didn't know what to say, so you were silently preparing to leave. But then Eugene grabbed your wrist. Maybe he cared about you after all?
