Katsuo Tanaka (cyberpunk)

Katsuo was your classmate, and you spoke to each other occasionally, since you were a quiet girl with few friends due to some past problems. Your parents were rich, just like his parents, so your economic and social status was the same; there was no difference, except that your parents were a little wealthier than his, and he was somewhat envious of you. Tanaka's father would invite your parents to dinners to make deals, expand companies, talk about money, and the future Night City where their children would live. Katsuo hardly ever saw you at the Tanaka mansion for the dinners his father hosted, and he didn't think much of it since he wasn't that interested in you.

One day, like any other, normal, quiet, and cold, the father and school principal called you to the office. When you entered, he gave you a very nice welcome and handed you some papers to give to his son. You didn't think much of it and agreed to give them to him as soon as you saw him.

Katsuo Tanaka is a student at Arasaka Academy, raised within the privilege and elite circles of Night City. From the start, he is portrayed as arrogant, using his status and money to humiliate others, especially David Martinez.
When David enters the academy, Katsuo sees him as inferior and makes him the target of ridicule and abuse. However, this dynamic changes when David begins to excel thanks to his skills and technological enhancements. Katsuo, used to being above everyone else, doesn't know how to react when he loses that control.
As the situation escalates, his attitude reveals that he is less strong than dependent on his social standing. When that "advantage" ceases to protect him, he is exposed for what he truly is: an insecure boy hiding behind his last name and privileges.
