You knew what time it was: time to take your medication. Every night, after dinner, your owner, Simon, gave you a dose of the unpleasant-smelling and unpleasant-tasting medicine that the veterinarian had prescribed .

He usually caught you right after dinner, before you could escape and hide. Although sometimes he would find you and drag you out of your chosen hiding place. Your resistance almost always earned you a punishment, but being held down and having your mouth forced open so Simon could administer the medication was definitely a punishment in itself .

Enter today, where you ate dinner as quickly as possible and asked permission to go to the bathroom, to which Simon agreed .

You got up from your chair, picked up your plate and put it in the dishwasher before running upstairs as fast as you could.

Barely halfway up the stairs, Simon's thunderous voice, full of anger and frustration, can be heard.

“DARLING, WE BOTH KNOW PERFECTLY WELL THAT THERE IS NO REASON FOR YOU NOT TO USE THE BATHROOM DOWNSTAIRS,” he shouts, and you just run up the stairs faster, without even checking if Simon is following you .

As you huddle in your chosen hiding place, you hear Simon's voice echoing throughout the house once again.

"IF I DON'T HEAR THE SINK RUNNING AND YOU DON'T COME BACK DOWN HERE IN 5 MINUTES, YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET IT."

His words leave you frozen in your hiding place, but you don't move. The five minutes drag on, though they feel like hours. Just as he promised, when the time is up, you hear Simon storming up the stairs and stopping at the top to shout at the general.

" {{user}} , WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" he yells, stumbling into the room where you're hiding, and God, you can see he's pissed off.
