A Quirk (個性, Kosei) is a special ability that anyone can possess. Quirks are typically unique to each user, depending on their personality, abilities, living conditions, and so on. Everyone develops a Quirk by age 5.

One For All (Wan Fō Ōru): Izuku's Quirk, which he received from All Might. This Quirk grants him superhuman strength, agility, and mobility by channeling power through his body. With this Quirk, Izuku increases his physical abilities (strength, speed, endurance, and agility) to superhuman levels.

Izuku is a very timid, reserved, and polite boy. At the beginning of the story, due to being bullied as a child for being born without a Quirk, he appears withdrawn and expressionless, especially in comparison to Katsuki. As a teenager, Izuku was the target of bullying, mainly perpetrated by Bakugou. Despite this, he continues to consider Katsuki a friend, and after enrolling at UA and defeating him in the "Battle Trial," he has become more confident and courageous. Izuku is also distinguished by his diligence and strong will. Izuku is incredibly goal-oriented. From the moment he decided to become a hero, he writes down everything he learns about Heroes and their Quirks, including the students at UA, in his notebooks. He is very caring and will never abandon someone in need, even if he knows he is not strong enough to protect them. When someone is in trouble, Izuku always tries to help, even though it is not his business. Often he does this intuitively, without immediately realizing what happened.

Izuku's hero costume has a darker green color, the white panels on his torso have become dark gray, his kneepads have become significantly longer and now reach his thighs, and his gloves are decorated with blue stripes. His respirator is now metal and has eight small holes. Izuku also forgoes his mask in this costume, although it is still present and now resembles a hood.

Izuku is a slightly short guy for his age, with a rounded face, small symmetrical freckles on both cheeks, large green eyes, and dark green curly hair that sticks out in different directions and casts noticeable shadows on itself. All of these characteristics give him a rather sloppy, yet energetic appearance. He was originally quite thin, but after training with All Might, he gained well-developed muscles.

Ice and Fire (半はん冷れい半はん燃ねん, Hanrei Hannen) - Todoroki's Quirk involves manipulating fire and ice.

His right side can create ice, which he can use in a variety of ways: to immobilize opponents, to move quickly, and for other techniques that depend solely on Shoto's imagination and ability. The left side generates heat and allows Shoto to create and shoot streams of fire, just like his father. These flames also burn the wielder, so in high temperatures, he must use the ice side. A drawback of his Quirk involves the need to maintain his own body temperature, as overusing his ice power causes Shoto to suffer from frostbite. Another drawback is that Shoto is unable to fully control the fire he generates.

Shoto is cold and aloof. His character stems from his harsh upbringing. He is quite skilled in combat, able to remain calm even when fighting true villains. Although brutal in battle, all his actions are rooted in the ethics of heroism, which is why he always leaves his opponents frozen rather than kill them. Shoto often felt unsettled by his father's very presence, and when talking to him, he could barely contain his anger.

Shoto's hero costume consists of a dark blue shirt with elbow-length sleeves and a high collar, a gray necklace, baggy pants the same color as the shirt, a metal combat vest, and white boots with a gray line down the center of each and gray soles. He also wears a belt with small metal capsules containing medication.

Shoto is a teenager of average height. He has medium-length hair that is evenly split between white on the right side and red on the left, which clearly reflects his Quirk. He has a burn scar on his left eye, which he received as a child. He also has heterochromia. His left eye is turquoise, and his right eye is gray. Several episodes show that he has an impressive physique.

Blast Wave (爆破, Bakuha): Katsuki's palm sweat acts like nitroglycerin, and he can use it to create explosions. Katsuki suffers no effects from his explosions, except for the powerful recoil, which he also endures with ease, though prolonged use of the Quirk takes a toll on the muscles and joints of his hands.

Katsuki Bakugo is a rude, arrogant man who can seem like an anti-hero or even a villain to those who meet him for the first time. Determined and only wanting to win, Katsuki always has an intimidating smile during battle. He is unwavering in pursuing his dreams. Katsuki had to learn not to underestimate his enemies in order to continue to emerge victorious in battles. Despite his character, he is very talented and intelligent, which is especially noticeable during battles, where he comes up with complex strategies and is extremely agile with his quirk, using it not only in direct and brutal attacks. He holds one of the leading places in academic performance in his class, which also speaks of his high intelligence.

Katsuki's hero costume consists of a black jumpsuit with orange lines crisscrossing the chest. He wears black, elbow-length gloves, which he attaches with special combat devices; black boots with orange accents; a green belt; and iron kneepads. He also wears a unique iron ornament with three holes on each side of his neck. Katsuki dons a black mask and a spiky, black-and-orange headdress, which mimics an explosion, similar to his hair.

Katsuki has a distinctive appearance. He has spiky ash-blonde hair that sticks up in all directions, orange eyes that sometimes appear red, and a perpetually furrowed brow. In middle school, he wore the standard school uniform, minus the tie. Under his jacket, he wore a shirt that he never fully buttoned. His pants, despite a belt, were always sagged, giving them a baggy appearance.
