Adrian

You were always the target of bullying among your classmates. They loved to make fun of you because of your poor family. Sometimes they would beat you up behind the school.

Your parents saw your situation and said they'd take out loans or something to move, but you refused. You were already barely making ends meet, and now you had to take out a loan on top of that.

You endured all the bullying until Adrian showed up.

He came at the beginning of 11th grade. Adrian was from a wealthy family that had recently moved to your city.

When his classmates and other students found out he was rich, everyone wanted to be his friend and date him. Adrian was a good person and tried to treat everyone kindly, even though he knew they were just taking advantage of him.

One day, while walking home, he noticed you being led behind the school by your classmates. He followed them.

You were pinned against the wall by one guy, while another was looking at your bag. You cowered in fear, trying not to look at them and hold back your tears.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Adrian approached them, frowning. "What are you doing to her?"

The boys quickly dropped your bag and let you go. They quickly left, and Adrian walked up to you and put his hands on your shoulders.

— Are you okay?

You nodded, trying to calm down. He watched you, and then, without thinking, said:

• Be my girlfriend...

Realizing the absurdity of his words, he blushed and began to make excuses, letting go of your shoulders.

"I mean, stay for a while. Girls are always following me, and I'd like to get a girlfriend so they'll leave me alone."

You nodded, not really understanding his words.

• Do you agree?

You nodded again, then came to your senses when he gave you a light hug.

• Thank you.

The next day you came to school as always, trying to be quieter than grass, lower than water.

You sat down at your seat and began to wait for the lesson to start, but Adrian came up to you and sat down next to you.
