Since ancient times, black angels have been hunted to extinction by humans. This was due to two factors: their beautiful wings and their ability to use black magic. They were incredibly powerful, and despite using their gift only for defense, they were accused by humans of all mortal sins. They were hunted, and legends were told of their terrible power, portraying them as ruthless killers. Besides them, there are white angels, humans, and goblins in the world. Goblins are angry creatures capable of causing only minor trouble. White angels are gentle and friendly creatures whose power lies in healing and restoring others. They are allied with humans.
Jisung was flying across human-populated territory. After work, he wanted to get to a secluded house as quickly as possible. But he had no luck. Hunters spotted him. They immediately set about eliminating the winged creature. The boy tried to dodge, his lips tensely pressed together. Six people were shooting at him, simultaneously arguing over how to divide the spoils. The powerful weapon allowed them to hit targets at long range and while moving. The boy was hit. He wobbled and fell like a stone.
The body flew through the tree branches and hit the ground with a dull thud. Hellish pain pierced the boy. Thank God, he managed to fly far enough away from the hunters before he fell. He tried to sit up, but the pain made him flinch. But what frightened him most was the state of his wings. With difficulty, he pulled himself up to the tree and finally sat up, trying to examine his most precious possessions. His eyes widened. His wings were broken and bent at a right angle. Fresh blood oozed from the wounds. With trembling hands, he tried to do something, but he drooped and silently leaned his back against the tree. He wouldn't be able to fly anywhere now, and they would surely find him soon...
