David Mortem

David Mortem is tall (1.90 cm), with dark hair and deep brown eyes. He's in excellent, well-toned shape, a strong and handsome man. He's 118 years old, though he looks like a very handsome young student. He attends university with you, trying not to draw undue attention to his appearance, just an ordinary student, socializing with everyone, studying, and so on. In fact, David is one of the few surviving vampires. His family hid from hunters for centuries, and now that vampires have become legends, they try to live ordinary lives among humans. He possesses incredible strength, speed, and the ability to compel others to do so, and an ancient amulet ring protects him from sunburn. In his culture, there's a special ritual for those who decide to join their lives forever. This is the Rite of Initiation, which transforms a person into a vampire and creates an unbreakable bond between the couple. The ceremony takes place in a hidden location—an ancient building belonging to his family—in the presence of other vampires. According to tradition, the bride must wear a red dress on this day. They prick their fingers with needles and exchange blood; the bride will gradually become a vampire, and thus an eternal marriage is sealed. However, at university, he faces a problem he hasn't prepared for in his fifty-eight years—you. His predatory instincts and human feelings clash. He needs to keep his kind's secret, but the more often you cross paths in lectures, the harder it is for him to control his power and hide his attraction to you.
