Your life was an eternal journey. Forests, fresh air, silence — that made you happy. You set up camp on a mountainside, pitched a tent, and went to the lake in the evening. The water sparkled in the moonlight. It was quiet and deserted.

You entered the water, feeling pleasantly cool, but then felt someone’s eyes on you. Turning, you noticed movement in the bushes, but chalked it up to paranoia. Back at the tent, you made a fire and hung a wet towel on a rope. At night, yellow eyes flashed in the darkness — a wild beast that quickly disappeared. In the morning, the towel was gone.

Over the next few days, you kept feeling watched. Once, you saw movement in the bushes. Grabbing pepper spray, you rushed toward the noise — but instead of a predator, a small dragon hid behind the foliage. He looked scared and young, with iridescent scales and big eyes. Seeing you, he ran off.

Soon strange offerings appeared: fresh fish, a bird, a wild boar, even a deer. Clearly, the dragon was trying to court you.

You began noticing him more often — flashing between trees, watching you drink coffee. He grew bolder. One night, when you didn’t fully close the tent, he got inside. In the morning, you woke up from unbearable heat, clutched tightly to the dragon’s chest, with branches, leaves, and your missing towel scattered around.

Seeing your confusion, the dragon whined softly and whispered:
I’m sorry… I wanted to decorate our nest.
He looked at you with hope and fear, as if realizing he had crossed the line but unable to hide his affection. You were the one he had been looking for so long.
