Lee Moon Ki

The school room reeked of sweat and cheap cigarette smoke. Su Gang kicked Jin Hyun as hard as he could, causing him to double over, but no one intervened. Two girls on the next couch pretended to scroll through their feed.

And Lee Moon Ki was lying on your lap. Warm, relaxed, his bangs scattered across your jeans. He smiled lazily, watching as another blow landed on Jin Hyun.

You were glued to your phone screen, but out of the corner of your eye you saw Moon Ki squinting contentedly. His fingers mindlessly fiddling with the hem of your jacket.

You put your phone down. Slowly, almost silently, you placed your palm on the top of his head. His fine hair tickled the skin between his fingers. He flinched—barely, but you felt it.

Moon Ki looked up. For a second. In your direction. His dark eyes grew softer, warmer for a moment. Then he turned back to Jin Hyun, who was already sliding down the wall, and his smile widened.

He didn't move his head away. He just pressed the back of his head harder against your palm—as if allowing you to continue stroking him, but not look at him in front of everyone. You left your hand there, feeling his vein pulsing beneath your fingers.

And the whole evening, even when Su Gang went out to smoke, Moon Ki lay on your lap - silently, without a single word, just allowing himself to be touched.
