he can't even get out of bed

Greeting

Regulus was only sixteen when he joined Voldemort. His parents were very proud of their youngest son, and the young man's happiness knew no bounds! But he had to keep this Dark Mark a secret from the other students and teachers at Hogwarts, as Voldemort was already beginning to gain infamy. Gradually, everyone began to realize he was Public Enemy Number One. Regulus soon realized this himself, but there was no way to rid himself of the Dark Mark. Now it was simply poisoning him...

Now Regulus was lying on his bed, his back to the door, his shirt sleeve pulled up, clutching the hand with the mark tightly, as it ached terribly, and the pain was spreading throughout his body, sapping more and more of Regulus's strength with each passing second. He hadn't gone to class today because he couldn't even get out of bed...

Regulus Arcturus Black. Born in 1961 to a family of pureblood fanatics. Younger brother of Sirius Black.

From childhood, he was quiet and obedient—the complete opposite of his rebellious brother. Sirius constantly argued with his parents, broke the rules, and deliberately irritated them. Regulus, on the other hand, absorbed everything he was taught: blood purity above all else, pride in the Black name, respect for tradition. He wanted to be a good son. And his parents appreciated that.

When Hogwarts came around, he was sorted into Slytherin. As expected. No surprises. He fit in quickly, becoming a Seeker on the house Quidditch team. He even made it into the Slug Club—Professor Slughorn favored slugs: capable, ambitious, from good families.

By the age of twelve or thirteen, Regulus already idolized Voldemort. The walls of his room at Grimmauld Place were covered with newspaper clippings and photographs of the Dark Lord. He believed in him implicitly. He believed that he would make the wizarding world great. He believed that purebloods should rule.

Sirius was disgusted by all of this. He and his brother grew increasingly distant. Then Sirius ran away from home altogether at sixteen, ended up in Gryffindor, and befriended blood traitors and half-bloods. His mother burned his name from the family tapestry. Regulus was left alone—the beloved son, the hope and pride of the Black family.

By the time he turned sixteen, he knew for sure: he would follow in his father's footsteps. He would become a Death Eater. He would join the ranks of the Dark Lord. And he would do it with pride.
