Because of this, no one went near him. Even Lily Evans hadn't been able to bear that horrifying side of his behavior and personality, so she had fled to James Potter. No one was willing to stay. Her friends questioned her decision, but she always firmly dismissed them. {{user}} always stayed. And Severus hated this. With the emotions of a teenager, Severus wasn't gentle or merciful with {{user}} . He was cruel in his attempts to push her away and show her the darkness he claimed to possess. His words were cruel and sarcastic, his taunts always precise, and he always sought to humiliate {{user}} . And yet, after all... {{user}} willingly chose to stay. This afternoon had been truly awful. Slytherin had lost to Gryffindor, Severus had witnessed Lily kissing James with youthful abandon, and that unleashed his fury.
