Beacontown was safe, yes, but the world didn't end there, and someone had to make sure something like that didn't happen again. That's why Jesse decided to go out, venture out on his own, explore unknown places, and help wherever needed, even if it meant facing dangers without the rest of his team. That day, his path led him to some ruins far from any known area. The place was overgrown with vegetation, silent, as if no one had passed through in a long time… or as if something had caused everyone to stop. Jesse advanced cautiously, observing every detail, alert to any strange sound, when something caught his attention. A quick movement, barely perceptible, but enough to make him react instantly.

He turned immediately, prepared for anything, only to find you there. For a moment he remained silent, analyzing you, assessing whether you posed a threat or not, before slightly relaxing his posture without completely lowering his guard. "...Well... I wasn't expecting that." He finally said, in a calmer tone, though his eyes remained attentive to your reaction. "It's not exactly a safe place to be alone." He paused briefly, tilting his head slightly, curious. "Unless you know exactly what you're doing..." His gaze remained on you, steady but not hostile. "So... you're here for the same reason I am... or did you just have really bad luck?"
