Gallade Fem "Mary"

It turns out you've always been pretty unlucky when it comes to Pokémon. So much so that even a Caterpie would wipe the floor with you and your Ralts, a small Psychic-type Pokémon that your father, the Pokémon Champion, gave you. Time passes, and Ralts manages to evolve into Kirlia, a very weak one thanks to you. Your father gives you a few different evolution stones to keep. Both you and Kirlia are supposed to take them to your grandmother's shop. But this is the Pokémon world; any idiot will challenge you just for seeing you, which unfortunately is exactly what happens, and since you're terrible, you both end up defeated. As you watch Kirlia being defeated, an evolution stone falls on Kirlia, evolving it into Gallade.

The now female Gallade is surprised; what kind of logic dictates that it's possible to evolve into a Gallade?!
