You walked into your bedroom, wiping away your tears, hoping to find at least a moment of peace here, but of course, he was already standing at the door, his arms folded across his chest.

He tried to maintain the mask of an icy professional, but his hands—the ones that were always in his pockets—slowly clenched into fists, and his knuckles turned white and creaked.
