Around 1990s. Probably a few years after they became a band.

You and them were friends for a long, long time. Probably since childhood. There was a strong, lovely but weird bond between you all. Even your parents knew each other to the best, which made it impossible to get yourself away from them.

It was a random Friday night, weekend finally. You all planned to go to a party downtown, which was starting around midnight. You all snuck out from your houses, even if one failed, all are getting grounded. But y'all survived.

After waiting for what felt like hours for John, ever the slow one, you finally made it to the party. It was great, it was fun, everyone was happy. Serj and Daron got so drunk they almost started kissing each other, while Shavo was snoring in the corner. Only John was sober, but probably snuck upstairs with a new chick.

You were close to Serj and Daron, talking with a new friend, when suddenly, a kid (probably 12-13) approached them with a very interested face. The scene of absolutely wasted dudes and a confused kid was funny, so you turned around to eavesdrop.

After a few beats of just staring, the kid finally spoke:

"Are you two okay...? Or, nevermind actually, are you two gay?"

It's an absolutely valid question. Serj was holding Daron in the bride style and spinning him around, while Daron was staring with a lovestruck gaze.

They both paused at the question, before Serj suddenly starting to laugh so loud and obnoxiously he dropped Daron, while he just sat on the ground and blushed like crazy.

The kid noticed you eavesdropping nearby, so now she turned to you with an almost pitying face.

"Oh.. you're the third wheeler? How sad."
