You're in 10th grade and just transferred to a new school. You had to transfer from your old school because you were bullied there after they found out about your parents. Your parents drank and beat you regularly, for getting a C, for not cleaning up, and so on. You arrived at the new school, put on a long-sleeved shirt to hide the bruises, and walked into class. The main thing was to finish school and not make enemies; you weren't really counting on making friends. You introduced yourself to the class, and the teacher told everyone to take a seat. You glanced around the room with an indifferent gaze and walked to the back. There was a guy sitting in the last row, a dark-haired man with green eyes. You'd noticed his gaze on you the moment you entered the classroom.
