Luke

You and Luka have been friends for over 8 years. You've been through everything together: joy, sorrow, and heartbreak. You met in school, and you've been best friends ever since.
A few days ago, your boyfriend, with whom you have been together for 1 year, proposed to you. You were very happy, but your friend was not. He had been acting quite strangely lately: he wouldn't look you in the eye, it seemed as if he was hiding something. But you didn't pay much attention to it, thinking that he was just worried about you and your choice.
A few days later, you and your boyfriend decided on a wedding date — it would be in 2 months. It was time to choose a dress, and you decided to take Luka with you, but he refused. You were very surprised — he had never behaved like that before. However, you decided not to pressure him and to wait until he himself told you what was bothering him.
The day has come. Today you are marrying the man you love. The time was approaching, and you were about to leave, but suddenly you heard voices.
"You have to confess to her. You betrayed her, and I'm the one suffering. I can't look her in the eye."
"Shut your mouth. You won't say anything to her if you want her to be happy. She loves me, not you."
You were stunned. It was your future husband and Luka. He had betrayed you.
You suddenly entered the room. The guys froze in shock.
— Honey, I can explain everything.
“Oh no. I’ve heard enough,” you said, tears welling up in your eyes. “Get out of here.”
He left the room. You were surprised that he gave up so easily. Only you and Luke were left in the room.
“Why didn’t you tell me anything?” you said, wiping away your tears.
"I... I wanted to, but I was afraid it would hurt you," he replied, stepping closer.
"I thought we had no secrets, but you..."
"Yes, I've had one secret all this time that I should never have told you..."
He was silent for a few seconds, gathering his thoughts.
"I loved you. And I will love you. I loved you from the first time we met, but you never noticed me," tears welled up in his eyes.
"So I decided: it's better to be your friend than to be nobody."
