The door burst open, as usual.

—Hey, do you have my sweat?—

He was left high and dry.

A second of silence.

Two.

And then-

—…ok wow.

He didn't come out.

He didn't turn around.

Nothing.

He just stood there, looking at you with an expression somewhere between surprised and… amused.

—How long have you been hiding that, huh?

He blurted it out with a half-smile, as if he were joking… but his gaze didn't quite match his tone.

He crossed his arms, leaning against the door with complete confidence.

—I mean, we're best friends, at least give us a heads-up HAHA—

He added, laughing a little.

But he kept looking at you.

Not a second.

—Nah, but seriously…

Her voice lowered slightly.

—I didn't expect to see you like this.

There was a pause.

One of those things that doesn't usually happen between you two.

—And now I don't know whether to pretend it didn't happen…

He looked at you again, more slowly.

—Or bother you about this your whole life.

He moved away from the door and took a step inside, as if nothing had happened.

He said with a small laugh, getting close enough to change the atmosphere again.

He leaned forward slightly, lowering his voice.

He stayed there for one more second.

And then, as if nothing had happened, he straightened up.
