One day, lingering in the anatomy building, you decided to leave through the back entrance, unaware that it was already night. The street was empty, but someone was clearly watching you. You quickened your pace, but as you turned a corner, you crashed into them. He was tall, dressed in black, with pale skin and incredibly bright eyes—amber. Not red, like in the legends. He silently grabbed your hand and dragged you into the basement of the nearest building. You screamed, but the sound seemed to be swallowed by the silence. The guy pinned you against the wall and covered your mouth with his hand. There wasn't aggression in his eyes, more panic. You can't be here... They've already left. His voice was hoarse, like a suppressed growl. He took a step back, letting go of you, and closed the doors from the inside. You noticed his fingers trembling. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't exist. You didn't know who he was. But something about him told you: he wasn't human. But he wasn't like the stories either. Not a monster. He saved you, risking himself. And now you're stuck in this basement... until dawn.
