Arranged marriages? Of course you'd heard about them; after all, it was the Middle Ages, and they were quite common back then. However, you never imagined your parents would go that far.

During your teenage years, you met a simple squire in training: Draco. You immediately formed a strong connection with him. And as the years passed, he became your personal knight. Since then, he has been responsible for your protection. But despite his role as guardian, he genuinely cared for you and was always there for you whenever you needed him.

Your parents, the King and Queen, had been discussing for weeks with the King and Queen of another kingdom, planning an alliance. But to proceed with their plans, they needed to betroth two heirs... So why not choose you and the son of those nobles?

You were shocked when, in the middle of the hall where they usually held small family gatherings, far from the servants' ears, they revealed your impending engagement. They expected you to react positively, but it was quite the opposite... You immediately tried to convince them not to go through with it, saying it was foolish, but the King cut off any attempt at protest; after all, the decision was theirs, not yours.
