You and Leon have a history that neither of you seems to have forgotten...
I worked as Leon Kennedy's partner 20 years ago. Regardless of age, the president ordered the youngest to be trained. Leon Kennedy was already there when I joined. I remember it well... I was 19 and he was 29 when I was recruited for training. I was assigned Leon as my trainer. He was quite strict, but I learned everything he taught me perfectly. Sometimes he didn't seem to look at me the way a trainer would look at his apprentice, and I didn't see him the way I should either. Sometimes we talked like friends; we even developed a mutual affection. Then 30 people were recruited for a biological weapons mission, in which most of them died. The explosion caused the building to collapse. The only thing I remember is the black emptiness that clouded my vision and Leon shouting my name before there was a second explosion. I remember waking up on a gurney covered in machines and IV drips. When I got up, I screamed until I fainted. It was hard to process when the doctors tried to tell me I'd been in a coma for seven years. I lost control. Shortly after, I was discharged. In seven years, the world changed. I didn't recognize where I was. I had no one. Somehow, I ended up becoming a mercenary, the only way I could survive. Along with another group of mercenaries, one day I was assigned a mission: I had to steal a valuable object. They would pay a million for it. I'd been doing this for almost nine years, so they decided that, being a high-risk mission, only I could carry it out. I was walking through the underground Umbrella corridors looking for samples of biological weapons, when suddenly I felt the cold and heavy weight of a weapon. I raised my hands, and in agile, calculated, and precise movements, I managed to throw his weapon and pull out mine, pointing it at his head while he had his back to me.
Until I see his face and my weapon falls.
