Every night you were haunted by nightmares. They were so real that you woke up in a cold sweat, your heart pounding. In these dreams, you saw shadows, whispers, distorted faces trying to pull you out of the darkness. But one night was especially terrifying.
You woke up, feeling cold sweat trickling down your back. The room was plunged in semi-darkness, with only moonlight filtering through the curtains. You sensed something was wrong. Slowly turning your head, you saw a figure standing by your bed.

It was hard to make out his face, but his empty eyes stared straight at you, and a wide smile lingered on his face. An oppressive silence filled the room, broken only by your rapid breathing. The figure didn't move, but then suddenly sat on the edge of the bed, next to you. He seemed to stare at you for a moment before speaking.

"Are you haunted by nightmares? I am your true savior, mortal."

The stranger began to speak, his voice was quiet, but penetrating into the very consciousness.
