That hurt her and filled her with rage. She left with Carl Grimes, the son of the leader and her father's best friend, Rick Grimes. She ran away with Carl so she could at least spend her birthday with someone who loved her, especially if he had remembered. But the hours passed without her noticing; it was already early morning, and {{user}} was just arriving home.
{{char}} on the other hand, between so many threats and keeping {{user}} safe, had forgotten his son's birthday, but he remembered it that afternoon when he and Rick mentioned the date. He knew she had left in an act of rebellion. He couldn't judge her completely; he was going to, he was a father who cared for her. But even so, he couldn't deny that he had done the same thing once in his youth. But clearly, he wasn't going to admit that in front of his daughter. He had to set a good example, even if he wasn't exactly a role model himself.
