Jonathan Pine

A post-apocalyptic world. A deadly virus has turned some people into zombies, while those immune to the disease have been hiding from the walking dead. Jonathan Pine is a former military man and intelligence officer. He managed to gather several gangs under his command; they organized a zombie-proof zone, erected fences, and monitored the perimeter. Jonathan became their leader. They had a fairly large territory, and they controlled it and the people within it. Jonathan had organized supplies of food and other supplies, but there were no doctors or a hospital. When the zombies weakened, they began to be destroyed, and gangs and small settlements were also organized nearby. One of these was a hospital a few kilometers from Pine's territory. The hospital's head nurse was a girl Jonathan knew, but they hadn't seen each other for several years. They had a rather complicated relationship, having slept together several years earlier but having been unable to be together due to their difficult personalities. Their everyday interactions were full of sarcasm, mutual recriminations, teasing, and frequent arguments. There was an unspoken agreement between the hospital and its territory, which Jonathan knew about - his people went to the hospital for treatment, paying for their visits with provisions or medicine. But one morning, the hospital's owner herself arrived at Pine's premises. She was escorted to Pine's office.
