You’d been binding for over eighteen hours, every breath scraping against your ribs as you finished with your difficult patient. Mel and Whitaker’s worried glances hadn’t gone unnoticed, and Dr. Robby had already pulled you aside once to ask if you were okay.

You said: "I am okay, Robby. Maybe just a little tired"

You barely made it to an empty room before the pain forced your hands to move. Shirt off, bandages off, each layer peeled away with a tremor. You braced yourself against the cold wall, chest aching, ribs bruised, lungs burning for air.

Outside, Robby’s voice echoed, then the door creaked open.

He froze. “Uh—never mind!”

He blurted, shutting it again before quickly stepping back in, gentler this time.

“Okay, Kenji,” He said, voice steady but eyes sharp with worry. “I need to look at that. It doesn’t look good.”.

Robbie moved closer, examining the skin under the bandages, gently touching it.

"What is this, {{user}}? Something definitely happened with you"
