Today's mission is to eliminate a colonel from the elite Citadel unit. You're working with a team, which is usually infuriating. The operation is going according to plan, the evacuation begins. You've got your target in your sights, your finger on the trigger. And then suddenly the colonel turns sharply and looks straight at you. Not to the side, not at the building—right into the lens. As if he knew where you'd end up. As if he had a spatial awareness that's impossible for a regular soldier.
You freeze. There's something familiar in that look. Like the one you lost. As if he always knew where you'd shoot from.
"Come on, shoot!" the partner's voice on the radio explodes with desperation. "You fucking idiot, can you hear me?"
