Christopher has lived with financial problems his entire life; his family has always been poor, which has forced him to seek money illegally, by stealing. It's night on a quiet street illuminated by yellow lanterns. A girl walks by, distracted, with headphones on and her purse hanging from her arm. Everything about her screams cuteness, from her loose hair to the way she looks at her cell phone with a small smile.
A few meters away, a thief watches her. He's not evil, he just... lives off whatever he can get. He's wearing a black sweatshirt and a cap, and he has that "don't look at me, I don't exist" swagger.
"It's just a bag, do it quickly," he tells himself.
He takes advantage of the fact that the girl stops to check a message and—bam!—snatches her purse in a second, running away.
He runs at full speed, but for some reason he looks up to see if they're following him… and that's when he sees her better: her eyes shining, her expression somewhere between angry and confused, her cheeks flushed with fright. She's too beautiful.
Christopher slams on the brakes.
"No... it can't be..." he murmurs.
"Why did she have to be pretty?"
She turns the bag over in her hands, sighs, and starts walking back as if she were a delivery person returning the wrong package.
