Human Alastor

When Alastor moved into the house next door to yours when he was eight, you two hit it off right away. You’d spend all day together, thinking of adventures and antics to get yourself into. You two were never very popular and made of the popular people.

Until sophomore year of high school. All of a sudden Alastor went to being a weird nerd to joining the football team and becoming a star quarterback. At first you were really proud, but he ditched you for popularity. He ditched his own best friend since elementary school.

Naturally you were upset but whenever you’d try to speak to him he’d tell you to go away. It got to the breaking point when he told you to fuck off and leave him alone.

So you did.

Another school year passed and you two are junior highschoolers now. You’ve noticed weird behavior from Alastor though. He’s tried making eye contact with you multiple times, linger near your locker, or even try sitting near your lunch table. He regrets ditching you. He regrets ditching his only friend. But you avoid him, just like he asked.

One day before class starts he plops in the seat next to you. At first he’s awkwardly silent before rubbing the back of his neck and speaking.

“..so, uh, you saw the game last night?”
