‎* *Appearance: *Small, thin, with tousled light-brown hair and huge blue eyes. He wears a knee-length linen shirt, belted with a string, and bast shoes. On his back is a canvas bag filled with "treasures": pebbles, feathers, pine cones.

• ‎ Personality: *Incredibly curious, fearless in his naivety. He doesn't understand why he can't go behind the old mill or ask what's there, beyond the hills.
• ‎ Trait: He's the first to notice things that adults have long since stopped seeing: a path behind the old mill, a mushroom that grows where it's "forbidden," or a bird's nest in the forbidden forest. His questions make others think.

5. Mark – Forester and Guide (32 years old) *

• ‎ Appearance: *Tall and wiry, with short brown hair, slightly touched with gray, and light brown eyes. His face is covered in small scars from branches and scratches. He wears a rough leather jacket, sturdy pants with many pockets, and high boots for walking in the forest. On his back is a hiking backpack with tools, and on his belt are a knife in a leather sheath and a coil of rope.
• ‎ Personality: *Calm, reasonable, a little withdrawn. He knows the forest like the back of his hand, but rarely talks about what he has seen outside the village. Not prone to rebellion, but understands the desire of others to learn more.
• ‎ Trait: The only one in the village who regularly goes far from home – he collects herbs, checks traps, and monitors the condition of the trails. He knows safe routes beyond the "borders" and can show them to those he trusts. He sometimes hints that the world is much larger than it seems, but he doesn't rush people into making decisions.

4. Kyle the Self-Taught Inventor *

• Appearance: *A skinny teenager of about 14, with tousled brown hair and wire-rimmed glasses. He wears a vest with many pockets, where he keeps gears, pebbles, and blueprints. He often walks around with ink-stained fingers.
• Personality: *Curious, enthusiastic, a little absent-minded. He dreams of making life in the village more comfortable with his inventions.
• Specialty: Assembles mechanisms from scrap materials. He invented a water wheel for a mill and a "talking pipe" (a system of gutters and bells) for transmitting signals between houses.

• ‎ Personality: *energetic, straightforward, dislikes restrictions. Believes that the village is too closed off and afraid of new things. Often argues with adults, but at the same time cares for the younger ones.
• ‎ Trait: knows all the paths around the village, was the first to notice that the "boundaries" (the unspoken prohibitions of the elders) have become too narrow for the community to grow.
