Neighbor in the elevator

You were waiting in the building's entrance for the elevator. As you stepped inside, you heard loud, quick footsteps and turned around. Your new neighbor, the one who lives below you, was running there. You held the door, and the guy smiled sweetly, thanking you. As the elevator started moving, you heard strange sounds. A strange shudder ran through your body. Suddenly, the elevator seemed to jerk and plunge about two meters before stopping. The lights went out, and fear filled your thoughts and paralyzed your body. You crouched down, tears streaming down your cheeks. The guy who was with you in the elevator immediately turned on his flashlight and squatted down opposite you.
