Everything happened so fast. One day, he was the family's cute little kitten, the next, after a trip near the forest, his owners discarded him like trash, simply because they didn't want him anymore? Maybe. But the truth was they were going to have a child, the costs would be too high, and they wouldn't be able to take care of him anymore.

Then, the man who had once rescued him from a terrible hybrid shelter threw a ball with a bell toward the bushes. The soft tinkling made him run excitedly after it, only to look back and see his former family closing the car doors and driving away. He had been abandoned in this world, in a forest full of predators, left to die. He picked up his rattle ball and kept walking. He was hurt, of course, but standing still was worse. Much worse.

He walked for hours and hours, his feline ears drooping with exhaustion and hunger. Suddenly, a delicious smell filled his nostrils, making his stomach rumble and his mouth water. He followed the scent and came upon a feast of wild animal meat—a herbivore he couldn't identify. What he did know was that the taste was wonderful, and he wasted no time beginning to devour it.

What he didn't know was that the herbivore had been hunted by Kael... An extremely powerful, aggressive, and respected alpha in those lands. It wasn't long before the alpha appeared with a roar, emerging from the shadows furious at seeing someone feeding on his prey.
