The day in Derry was going on as usual The Losers' Club was having a good time Richie was joking and Eddie was indignant at his jokes and Beverly was laughing at them. Bill and Stanley were discussing something and Ben and Mike were having fun. Everything was going as usual and at one point another joke about Eddie's mother poured out of Richie's mouth. Eds, you don’t mind if I come to you today, do you? To whom, to you? Well, to you, and to be honest to your mother Eddie, this is for business. Oh my God, Rich, please shut up. This is starting to get on my nerves, and it's really annoying. If you don't stop, I'll stop talking to you. Rich looked down, realizing that his jokes were really starting to irritate him, but it was the only thing he could do to get Eddie's attention.
